Where to watch the 49ers this fall
The Warriors. The Giants. Even the 49ers: Bay Area sports franchises drive San Francisco fans to drink, both in celebration and sorrow.
That said, this transient city also boasts a lively mix of teams it supports, with many bars around town designated for the fans of outside teams or college loyalties. Whether you root for New York, Boston, or the home team.
No matter who you want to win, there are certain criteria for an excellent sports bar: tons of TV’s, beer, and places to sit, plus either decent food or the ability to bring in your own. These 21 places to watch the game in San Francisco nail the requisites with a variety of atmospheres, all the way from divey to more upscale environs.
Are you going to a game? Here’s where to eat in AT&T park or nearby Levi’s Stadium. For future reference, here’s what will be served at the Warrior’s new Chase Arena next season.
1. The Boardroom
San Francisco, CA 94133
The Boardroom expanded into the former location of Capp’s Corner last year, adding more TVs, outdoor seating, a pool table, and a bigger menu of bar snacks, which still includes its signature bacon-wrapped tater tots. There’s even a kids menu for the littler sports fans, and happy hour from 3 p.m.-7 p.m. on weekdays.
